Interventions in schools

From September to October, Terre des Hommes Suisse offers interventions in connection with the March de l'espoir to schools in the Geneva region. These presentations are led by speakers who have been recruited and trained by the association in order to introduce students to the realities of a developing country, to explain the daily life of children in another part of the world and what the Marche de l'espoir is about.

A "fiche pédagogique" (see below) complements these interventions, allowing teachers to deepen and rework some of the topics covered in class.

Thus, every year Terre des Hommes Suisse reaches out to close than 32,000 children aged 6 to 13 to raise awareness on issues of solidarity and development cooperation in an interactive and playful way.

Finally, it should be noted that these interventions are in line with the Plan d'étude romand and that they have been acknowledged by the Département de l'instruction publique (DIP)
